I’ve been working hard at finding work–but that’s hard. I did, however, make some progress in regards to making things a bit more routine and comfortable for me and the girlies. Each day, Monday through Friday, they will now be able to attend day care. I could, in theory, let them have ten hour days, but I really can’t stand to be away from them for that long at a time, even given the frustration I have with Luna’s destructive behaviors.
Sunday is my day to purchase papers at the $0.99 store. Monday, we go grocery shopping in the wee hours of the morning. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, as research for an essay I have to write in one of my graduate courses, I’ll be going to visit a local college and sitting in on a writing class. That arrangement is temporary, but could lead to further opportunities.
Within the seven days of each week, I have to spend ten hours or more on job hunting; last week on Friday part of that was creating and printing 24 copies of my resume and applicable cover letters. These are en route to various Arizona publications. Assuming they don’t round file them, it’s possible that I could get an internship or a paying gig–at this point I’d settle for writing filler pieces if the pay were decent, but I’d really prefer to exercise my creative abilities.
I thought I had more to write about, but I’m falling asleep. It is 12.25a in Arizona, and I’ve got to get up bright and early at sunup and pretend that I’m bushy tailed.
