Just A Little Note To My Unborn Childe…

I wrote this poem a long time ago, and though it doesn’t really apply to my current situation, as the father of this childe wants to be here for the baby, I still like the poem as a whole, and felt like posting it. Enjoy:

Just A Little Note:

Just a little note to my unborn childe,
For later on when I think I’m alone,
And my tears run wild,
Just a little note to my dear babe,
To let you know that it’ll be okay.
Your Daddy’s not around,
And me as your Mommy–
I’m not always sound,
But I love you my childe;
I love you my dear,
And I want you to know that I’ll always be here,
And if you ever see your Mommy cry,
Don’t be upset
And don’t ask why,
‘Cause Mommy gets alone sometimes,
And misses your Daddy lots of times,
And Mommy just wants to be alone to cry,
And don’t ask why.
This is just a little note to my unborn childe,
For later on when I think I’m alone,
And my tears run wild.
I don’t want you to look at me,
And think I’m all upset about you.
I don’t want you to think that I’m crying,
‘Cause of something you’d do.
I just want you to know that I’m alone,
‘Cause I’m alone,
But don’t worry my baby,
Don’t fret my childe,
‘Cause I’ll always love you,
And I always have,
And the day you are born will be the most wonderful precious day in my entire life,
And I will always love you;
This is just little note to my unborn childe,
For later on when I think I’m alone,
And my tears run wild.
I am glad that Robert does love me, and this childe, and that he will be here through everything. I need to learn to take life one day at a time, to enjoy the little things, and to not worry and fret about what the future will bring. Clay Walker–Gonna do my dreaming with my eyes wide open. I´ll do my looking back with my eyes closed.
